Use of Power Steering Rack oil pump
Select a suitable oil pump according to the vehicle performance and the basic parameters of the power steering gear.
Use of oil
Add steering fluid to the steering system according to the standard. It is recommended to use gear oil with a viscosity of 26mm²/s (50℃) and a freezing point below -35℃. The recommended standard is Dexron or Mercon-M. The oil temperature of the power steering gear should be kept between -40℃ and 120℃.
Filter
Use a mesh filter.
Installation precautions
No adjustment is required when installing the power steering gear.
Precautions
● The oil pipe should be installed correctly, and the oil inlet and outlet should not be connected in reverse, otherwise the power steering gear may be damaged.
● The inside of the power steering gear must be kept clean.
● Since the power steering gear is driven by the engine to drive the oil pump, do not slide when the vehicle is turned off to avoid affecting the steering.
● The power steering gear should not be turned to the extreme position for more than 5 seconds, and it needs to be turned back slightly, otherwise the oil pump may be damaged.
● The valve core has been adjusted to the best state, and other components must not be disassembled without authorization.
● The oil seal and waste ring removed during disassembly cannot be reused.
● When refueling, the same oil as the crude oil should be used.
● If the hydraulic system fails, the driver needs to increase the force to turn the steering wheel manually.
● The repair of the power steering gear should be sent to a professional repair center for processing.
● Avoid knocking or hitting parts during assembly and disassembly, keep the system clean, and ensure that no foreign objects enter the steering system.
