Silverado steering rack provides precise steering control, especially suitable for large SUVs, ensuring smooth handling in various road conditions. Chevy Silverado steering rack adopts durable materials and sealing design, with long service life and excellent corrosion resistance, reducing maintenance frequency. The power assist system reduces the driver's steering effort requirements, especially at low speed or when parking, and improves driving comfort. 19207492 power steering rack combines reliability, durability and driving comfort to meet the high requirements of large vehicles for handling and stability.
Advantage
The rack and pinion steering gear has a simple structure, is easier to assemble and manufacture, and has reliable operation and long service life. It is widely used in light and micro vehicles.
Effect
When turning, the steering gear reduces the steering wheel operation force and adjusts the steering wheel return speed. When turning on the spot, it provides the necessary auxiliary power, steering is sensitive, operation is easy, and less force is required, thereby reducing driver fatigue. The Power Steering Rack provides stable steering performance for vehicles traveling at high speeds, and the mechanical steering system can continue to work normally even when the steering device fails. The 2008 silverado steering rack can also absorb the impact of the road on the front wheels and reduce the vibration of the steering wheel. The power steering system includes a steering oil tank, a steering pump, a steering column and a steering gear.
Rotary valve power steering gear
This system is usually combined with a continuously working steering oil pump, which draws oil from the oil tank and delivers it to the control valve of the power steering gear. When the steering gear is at rest, the control valve remains in the neutral position and the oil flows directly back to the oil tank through the control valve.
Middle position
When the car is driving in a straight line and the steering wheel remains stationary, the oil pump supplies hydraulic oil through the oil port, and the hydraulic oil enters the two working chambers through the gap (see figure). Since the rotary valve is in a stationary state at this time, the oil pressure in the two working chambers is equal, no power is generated, and the hydraulic oil then flows back to the tank.
Steering process
When the driver turns the steering wheel, the gap between the valve core and the valve body changes, resulting in an oil pressure difference between the two working chambers corresponding to the steering resistance. This oil pressure difference acts on the rack piston, driving it to overcome the steering resistance and produce displacement, thereby turning the front wheels.
Return process
After the steering is completed, the external force on the steering wheel disappears, and under the action of the internal torsion bar and the front wheel return torque, the oil pressure difference between the two working chambers disappears, and the steering wheel returns to the straight position.
Steering feel
Steering feel is the driver's ability to sense the vehicle's turning situation through the steering wheel. When the driver applies force to the steering wheel, the force is simultaneously transmitted to the steering gear, causing the torsion bar to twist. The degree of deformation of the torsion bar depends on the steering resistance. The greater the resistance, the more obvious the deformation. The driver can judge the amount of steering resistance based on the force applied to the steering wheel, thereby obtaining feedback on the "steering feel".
