The power steering in the left hand drive steering rack system is a hydraulic device that uses engine power to assist steering. The engine drives the oil pump to generate hydraulic pressure, which acts on the power cylinder piston through the control valve on the steering shaft, thereby pushing the pinion to apply auxiliary force to the rack. The size of the auxiliary force is directly related to the pressure of the hydraulic pressure.
