The Function of Power Steering Gear

The steering oil pump draws oil from the oil tank and delivers it to the control valve of the power steering gear. When the steering gear is stationary, the control valve remains in the middle position and the oil returns directly to the oil tank through the control valve.
Care and Maintenance
Maintenance of a new power steering gear: After the first 2,500 kilometers of driving, please replace the automatic transmission oil. Thereafter, replace it every 50,000 kilometers or once a year, and clean the oil tank.
Oil level and oil quality inspection: Check the oil level and oil quality of the steering oil every month, and fill it to the correct oil level if necessary. If the oil is found to be dirty, it should be replaced in time.
Tire pressure inspection: Check and maintain the tire pressure in compliance with regulations regularly.
Oil change or refueling steps:
(1) Install the steering knuckle.
(2) Open the cover, unscrew the oil outlet bolt, and drain the bottom oil at idle speed. Turn both sides of the steering wheel to the limit position, repeat several times until there is no oil in the oil pot.
(3) Tighten the oil outlet bolt to ensure cleanliness and avoid contamination.
(4) Fill the oil pot with new oil.
(5) At idle speed, turn the steering wheel to the limit position several times until the oil level is stable and there are no bubbles.
(6) Add oil to the scale line.
(7) Tighten the oil bottle cap.
